Behrend Volleyball Selected to ECAC Southern Tournament as #2 Seed
After
a heartbreaking loss in the AMCC Championship match on Saturday, the Penn
State Behrend women's volleyball team has a chance for redemption.
Behrend was selected to participate in the 2006 ECAC Southern Volleyball
Championship.
Behrend (27-3) enters the eight team tournament as the #2 seed and will play
#7 seed Lebanon Valley College (21-12) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10.
The ECAC tournament will be hosted by New Jersey City University.
Head coach Phil Pisano said, "We're very happy to have the chance to
continue playing. We definitely feel like this is a second chance for
us and gives us the opportunity to end our season the right way."
The semifinals and finals will be played on Saturday, November 11.
Semifinal games will be played at 9:00 a.m. and the ECAC Southern Volleyball
Championship match is set for 12:00 p.m.
