Men's Water Polo player Anthony Spoto named to All-American Team Anthony Spoto (Birmingham/Birmingham Seaholm), a freshman utility player, has been named to the 2004 Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III All-American Team. Spoto, who was given Honorable Mention honors, was one of just 18 players in Division III to earn All-American recognition. In his first season, Spoto scored 65 goals in varsity games, and an additional 10 goals in exhibition matches. His total set a new single season mark at Behrend. He also had 27 steals, 52 drawn kickouts, and 11 assists. Spoto is currently competing for the swim team, where he contends in the breaststroke and sprint events. |
