Men's Water Polo Team Drops Their Home Opener in Overtime

Despite a 7-6 Behrend lead with under five seconds left in regulation, the men’s water polo team lost their home opener in overtime 9-11 against Mercyhurst College on Wednesday.  Andre Pranckevicius (Miami, FL/Miami Beach) lead Behrend with 4 goals on 9 shots while Conor Powers (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) and Leandro Azevedo (Miami, FL/Miami Beach) combined for 13 saves.

Mercyhurst came into the match with a 1-2 record after recently competing in a tournament in Princeton, New Jersey.  Behrend will see Mercyhurst again on October 13 this time on the road.  Last year the two teams split their season matches, with Behrend taking the second one 11-4 on Senior Day.
