Members of the Men's Water Polo Team Earn National Rankings

The Behrend Men's Water Polo team had several individuals on this week's national rankings list.  Both Anthony Spoto (Birmingham/Birmingham) and Andre Pranckevicius (Miami,FL/Miami Beach) placed within the top 50 goal scorers in the nation.  Spoto placed 8th with 31 goals in just twelve games while Pranckevicius came in 21st with 22 goals in nine games.

Both of the team's goalkeepers were also nationally ranked.  Leandro Azevedo (Miami,FL/Miami Beach) was ranked 15th in the country with 67 saves in twelve games.  Freshman teammate Conor Powers (San Clemente,CA/San Clemente) came in just behind Azevedo at 16th in the nation with 58 saves in twelve games.

"It is great to see players from our school being represented amongst the top players in the country.  Now, my work is to get the rest of the team into those rankings.  Now that would be an even better statement for our school and our program, said coach Joe Tristan."
