Hanhauser, Doody Earn Tournament Honors

Penn State Behrend's freshmen men's water polo players Andy Hanhauser (Erie/McDowell) and Casey Doody (Scarborough, ME/Cape Elizabeth) earned honorable mention all-tournament team honors at the Grove City Division III Championships.

"Andy has become a valuable offensive asset to team," said head coach Josh Heynes. "He leads the team this season in goals, assists, and is in the top five in other categories such as attempts, shooting percentage and kick outs drawn.  Andy has made a lasting impression on this team."

The Behrend Lions were 1-3 this past weekend losing to Slippery Rock 3-21, John Hopkins 2-10, Washington & Jefferson 8-16, then defeating Mercyhurst 10-9.  Doody scored eight goals and had two assists, while Hanhauser scored five goals and had four assists.  On the season, Hanhauser leads the team in goals with 45 and assists with 26.

"Casey has become an offensive and defensive juggernaut," said head coach Josh Heynes.  "He has broken into the top five in goals, assists, and steals in a career.  These are all impressive statistics for a first-year player.  He will be an asset to this team in years to come."

The Behrend Lions conclude their season at the Southern Championships at the U.S. Naval Academy on November 2-4.
