Women's Kick Off Annual Tournament With Win Over Utica

The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team won the opening game of the annual Behrend Invitational Friday night over the Utica Pioneers, 8-5.  Brittany Yost (Pottsville/Pottsville) led all scorers with five goals on ten shots.  Yost also added two steals and an assist.  Also having a big game was Alex Taylor (Zieglerville/North Penn), who had two goals on five shots, an assist, and three steals.

The blue and white will meet Colorado on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., St. Francis, Saturday at 4:30 p.m., Carthage, Sunday at 10:30 a.m., and Iona, Sunday at 2:15 p.m.

Behrend will travel to Gannon on March 22 before participating in the Grove City Tournament on March 24 and 25.  The women will not return home again until March 29, when they welcome the Grove City Wolverines.
