Behrend Splits Final Two Matches, Concludes Tournament

Behrend Water Polo won one and lost one on the final day of the Behrend Invitational.  The blue and white beat Carthage College seven to five in game one, before losing to the Iona Lady Reds nine to three.

Game one saw senior goalkeeper Colleen Applebaugh (Auburn, NH/Naples American) score the first goal of her Behrend career.  Brittany Yost (Pottsville/Pottsville) and Alex Taylor (Zieglerville/North Penn) led the Behrend attack, with two goals a piece.  In game two Behrend was unable to generate the same kind of firepower as they fell to Iona by six.

Behrend is in action again on Wednesday, March 22 when they travel across town to play rival Gannon.  Behrend will then play four matches March 24-25 at the Grove City Tournament.  The blue and white will be back home again when they welcome the Grove City Wolverines into the Junker Center Pool on March 29.
