Behrend Water Polo Heads to California for Redlands Tournament
The
Behrend men's water polo team is traveling to California for a two
matches and a tournament at the University of Redlands September 8-10.
Behrend will play Cal Lutheran and Chapman on Friday, September 8
before traveling to Redlands for four matches September 9 and 10.
The blue and white open up the tournament on Saturday, September 9
against Redlands at 11:40 a.m. and then Claremont at 1:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 10 the men square off against Occidental at 11:40
a.m. and LaVerne at 3:00 p.m.
"We are very excited to go up against some Division III competition not normally available back home," said coach Joe Tristan. "This road trip is a good way to open the season and will better ready us for local competition later in the season."
The Behrend men open up in the Junker Center Pool on September 20, against Mercyhurst. Also on the home schedule is Gannon, W & J, and the Division III Eastern Championships.
