Women's Water Polo Announces 2007 Team Awards

The Penn State Behrend women's water polo program announced the 2007 award winners.

Earning team Most Valuable Player honors was senior Brittany Yost (Pottsville/Pottsville). Yost led the team with 56 steals, was second with 12 assists and third in goals scored this spring.

Kaitlyn Rinn (Erie/Villa Maria) was tabbed as the Most Improved Player and played in all 21 games for the blue and white.

Freshman Amanda Bradford (Ukiah, CA/Ukiah) was selected as the program's Rookie of the Year recipient. Bradford saw action in 21 contests and made 17 steals to go along with eight goals and nine assists in her rookie campaign.

The leadership and scholarship award winner was freshman Katherine Knight (Knox/Keystone).

Behrend's 2007 roster was comprised of eight freshman, a pair of sophomores and three upperclassmen.
