Penn State Behrend Women's Water Polo Falls Twice at Home

The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team lost two games on Sunday, March 9th in the Junker pool.  The Behrend Lions were first defeated 12-8 by the Washington & Jefferson Presidents and then 17-3 by the Michigan Wolverines.

Against W & J in the first game, Behrend got four goals from Ashley Frank (Miami, FL/St. Thomas Aquinas) in a game that was close until late in the fourth period when the Presidents were able to close the door on Behrend.  Alex Taylor (Landsdale/North Penn) added two goals in the loss, and scoring a goal apiece were Danielle Palski (Souderton/Souderton) and Amanda Wiest (Arlington Heights, IL/Buffalo Grove).

In the second game of the day, Division I power Michigan got contributions from a number of players in the win as 12 Wolverines found the back of the net.  Michigan's leading scorer was Morgan Rosentreter who had three goals.

Behrend got goals from Frank, Palski, and Kaitlyn Rinn (Erie/Villa Maria).

The Behrend Lions (1-7) will next play a club exhibition game at Chatham on March 20.  The blue and white then travel to Slippery Rock for a game on March 25 at 8:30 p.m.
