Nowacinski Earns Enterprise RENT-A-CAR Athlete of the Week

State Behrend sophomore Kelly Nowacinski (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep)
has been named the Enterprise RENT-A-CAR athlete of the week for the week of
January 19, 2008.
Nowacinski led the blue and white to a 59-47 win over the
Medaille Mavericks on Wednesday night. She led all scores tallying 15
points on seven of twelve from the floor. Nowacinski would also
contribute on the defensive side blocking one shot and working for five
steals. Nowacinski would continue her strong week with a 17 point,
five rebound, and five steal night to give the blue and white another
conference win over Franciscan. The win brought the Behrend Lions to
4-3 in the AMCC.
The Behrend Lions will travel to Pitt-Bradford for another AMCC game on
Monday, January 16 at 6:00 p.m. The blue and white won both match-ups
a year ago. Behrend will then return to the Junker Center on Thursday,
January 22 at 6:00 p.m. to take on the La Roche Redhawks to complete the
first half of the season.
