Behrend Battles Frostburg State on the Road for AMCC Championship The Penn State Behrend women's soccer
team will be competing in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference
(AMCC) Championship game this Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m.
The Behrend Lions (12-6-1, 5-1) are hoping to claim their fifth AMCC
title in the past seven years. The scoring attack for the Behrend Lions will be led by senior captain Erin Maurer (Erie/Villa Maria) with nine goals and four assists, and sophomore Holly Greiner (McKane/General McLane) with eight goals and nine assists. The blue and white will rely on the strength of midfielders Michelle Newland (Glenshaw/Fox Chapel) and Kacie Burns (Cheswick/Springdale) to control and distribute the ball. Freshman goalkeeper Liz Hall (Erie/Iroquois) will anchor the defense. Under head coach Dan Perritano the program is a remarkable 113-56-11.
