Women's Soccer Finishes Regular Season With a Win

The Behrend women cruised to a 5-1 victory in their final regular season game Thursday, October, 27 against out of conference opponent Grove City.  Behrend controlled the entire game, out shooting  the Wolverines 32-4 and tallying seven corners to their two.

Senior Michelle Newland (Glenshaw/Fox Chapel) led the way, scoring two of Behrend's three second half goals and putting the game out of reach for the Wolverines.  Also contributing big was junior Kara Struski (Meadville/Meadville) who had two of Behrend's four assists.

The women play again on Wednesday, November 2, in the AMCC tournament against the winner of the first round match between #6 Medaille and #3 Pitt-Greensburg.  Behrend enters the tournament ranked number two in the conference.
