Behrend Lions Bounce Mavericks 4-1 on the Behrend Fields

Behrend women's soccer hosted Medaille on Tuesday, September 26, on the Behrend Fields and although Behrend trailed 1-0 at the half, the blue and white prevailed 4-1.

Medaille took a 1-0 advantage to the half behind a goal from Kerri Clarkson who connected off a nice pass from Harborcreek native Kelly Rosenthal.

However Behrend continues to dominate the second half of their games this season. Coach O'Driscoll's crew have outscored opponents 18-4 in the second half during the 2006 season and today was no different.

Behrend rallied with four unanswered goals over the final 45 minutes. Nikki Frisbee (Valencia/Mars) got things going off a pass from Emily Rogan (Bethel Park/Bethel Park) to tie the game at one and notch her fourth goal of the fall. Then Danielle DeMay (Bethel Park/Bethel Park), Marissa King (McKees Rocks/Montour) and senior Kara Struski (Meadville/Meadville) put the finishing touches on the win.

Behrend improves to 5-3-1 and at 2-0 in the AMCC while Medaille falls to 3-5-1 and 0-2 in the league.

Behrend continues AMCC play with a road game on Saturday, September, 30, at La Roche at  1:00 p.m. Last season Behrend handled the Redhawks 4-1 on the Behrend Fields.
