Suffer Second Loss at Home
The
Behrend Women's Soccer team fell 2-0 to the Case Western Spartans in a
non-conference match on Thursday, September 13.
The Spartans struck their first in the 11th minute. Freshmen Amy Bishara (Toledo/Maumee Valley) found the back of the net with a leading pass from teammate Madeline VanGunten (Cleveland Heights/Beaumont).
The rest of the first half was a back and forth battle between the two teams. It was not until the 80th minute that Bishara tallied her second goal of the game and making it the final.
The blue and white were out-shot by the Spartans 15 -8. Goalkeeper Kayla Frost (Venetia/Peters Township) recorded six saves for the day.
The blue and white (1-3-1) will play again on Saturday, September 15 at 3:00 p.m. when they travel to Westminster to take on the Titans.
