The workplace is continuously changing. There are new regulations, new demands, a younger workforce, and new technologies in the workplace of today. Continuing Education can help you meet those challenges, with training to update skills, improve performance, and enhance your organization's ability to move forward.
Our unique Continuing Education focuses upon customized training, designed to meet your organization's specific workplace needs. Our training programs are taught by Behrend's faculty and area professionals who are experts in their fields, with extensive workplace experience, and who provide highly practical, on-the-job application of theories and techniques.
Our training programs are lively, interactive, and include role-playing and demonstrations of real-life workplace issues and solutions. Training can be provided at your site, or at the beautiful Behrend campus at times convenient for your organization.
It's easy to get started. Give us a call and our staff will meet with you to learn about your training needs and interests. Then we will follow the following steps to provide the best training program for you:
- Meet with appropriate instructor who will then develop a customized training outline
- Present you with a proposal that includes specifics about program delivery, dates and times of training, detailed training outline, cost, and contact information
- If the proposal is accepted, a memorandum of agreement will be signed
- We will assist you in exploring state funding to support the training
- If you need assistance in developing a training plan, we will gladly help you.
Over the past two years, we have provided training for 70 area companies. Our training clients come from a variety of industries: healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, school districts, service providers, and insurance agencies.
