Exterior The Research and Economic Development Center houses both the Black School of Business and the School of Engineering under one (very large) roof. At 160,000 square feet, it is the largest building at Penn State Behrend, the largest Penn State building outside of University Park, and the largest academic building in Erie County. The Smith Chapel is reflected in the glass of the Research and Economic Development Center.
