PENN STATE BEHREND ALUMNI CELEBRATE ERIE
WITH PEACHY PATERNO (AND OTHER GREAT FLAVORS!)
Penn State Behrend's Alumni Society will be at Ninth and State Streets from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, August 15 and 16, and from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, to celebrate Erie and bring the community a taste of Penn State. The organization will sell scoops of University Creamery ice cream-usually available only in University Park-with all proceeds to benefit the Penn State Behrend Alumni Scholarship Fund.
"This is an opportunity to have some great ice cream and to help college students in our area," said Larry Mroz, president of the Penn State Behrend Alumni Society. "We hope to support our scholarship fund and entice the 8,000 Penn State alumni in the region to come downtown for Celebrate Erie."
Mroz said that nine favorite University Creamery flavors will be available: Peachy Paterno, Death by Chocolate, Bittersweet Mint, Vanilla, Chocolate, Peanut Butter Swirl, Butter Pecan, Cookies and Cream, and Strawberry.
