12-16-03 PENN STATE BEHREND ANNOUNCES RECIPIENTS Seven faculty will have their research funded by the college and their respective schools in the coming year through the Penn State Behrend's Research Incentive Grant Program for Early Career Faculty. Awards in this program are presented to faculty with three or fewer years of service. This year's grants totaled $13,294.
Applications for the Research Incentive Grants are judged on scholarly merit, potential for proposal and sponsored research, potential for publications and presentations, and progress based on previously awarded Research Incentive Grants. The maximum amount of each award is $2,500. Funds are often used to demonstrate project feasibility, initiate a new area of research, or promote collaborative research. For more information on the Research Incentive Grant Program for Early Career Faculty, contact the Office of the Senior Associate Dean at (814) 898-6230.
