Behrend Concert Band to Perform Dec. 7
On Tuesday, December 7, the Behrend Concert Band will perform in the Reed Union Building McGarvey Commons, starting at 8:00 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert will have a nautical theme to commemorate the lives lost on December 7, 1941, when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Selections include: "Of Men and the Sea;" "Eternal Father, Strong to Save," a well- known Navy hymn; "Victory at Sea," from the 1960s television documentary; John Williams' march from 1941 and "Hymn to the Fallen" from Saving Private Ryan; "The Pearl Fishers" by Georges Bizet; and a salute to John Phillip Sousa, arranged by Warren Barker.
