BEHREND PRESENTS ONE-ACT THEATRE FESTIVAL
ENTITLED PERSPECTIVES

Penn State Behrend's One-Act Theatre Festival, Perspectives, will be held October 29-30 and November 3-6 at 8:00 p.m. in the Studio Theatre. Afternoon performances will be held Sundays, October 31 and November 7, at 2:00 p.m. also in the Studio Theatre. Performances are $5 for general admission and $3 for students with ID.

Perspectives features six one-act plays on "paranormal events, freaky first dates, troubled relationships, and life and death encounters." Director and Theatre Lecturer Dr. Christine Mangone said "the material is quite diverse; yet, in every play there is a clash of 'perspectives' on a given subject, resulting in a very comedic, or tragic, outcome." Dr. Mangone decided to produce a one-act festival to give as many students as possible the opportunity to participate in a theatrical production. Her enthusiastic cast includes actors with a wide range of acting experience.

The selected plays are all winners of the prestigious Actors Theatre of Louisville's National Ten-Minute Play Contest, and include Michael Dixon and Val Smith's Breaking the Chain, William Mastrosimone's Precipice, Jeffrey Sweet's Cover, John Sheeshy's Gave Her the Eye, Richard Strand's The Guest of Honor, and Jerome Hairston's 40-Minute Finish.
