BEHREND'S BUSINESS SCHOOL RANKED
IN PRINCETON REVIEW'S TOP 143

Erie students don't need to go far from home to get a highly-ranked business degree, according to this year's edition of Princeton Review's Best 143 Business Schools. The Sam and Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend earned a spot among this year's 143 best, based on institutional data and student surveys.

"The Black School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the same accrediting agency that recognizes Stanford, Yale, Dartmouth, and other top-ranked business schools," said Dr. John Magenau, director of the Black School. "Our faculty members are held to exceptionally high standards, so the students who earn their business degrees here can expect superior teaching and learning opportunities."

Princeton Review ranks business schools on eleven different measures including admissions selectivity, academic experience, professors, campus facilities, and career prospects.

"The Black School's MBA stresses integration of business knowledge across disciplines, and emphasizes the development of planning and problem-solving skills crucial in middle and upper management," according to Magenau. "Our professors are good at relating today's business trends into classroom activities and discussions." Magenau also noted that the Black School's Master of Project Management degree program is delivered over the Internet to a international student body of students employed by companies such as Rolls-Royce, Goodrich, and AMEC.

"Because so many of the prospective graduate students are mature individuals with significant work experience, many students juggle their work, family, and school responsibilities and have little free time," said one Black School of Business student who participated in the Princeton Review survey. "To accommodate the differing schedules of its students, courses are taught in the late afternoons, evenings, and weekends."

In addition to the MBA and MPM, the Sam and Irene Black School of Business offers undergraduate degrees in accounting, business economics, economics, finance, international business, management information systems, management, and marketing, For more information about programs available through, contact Penn State Behrend's Admissions Office at 814-898-6100 or toll-free at 866- 374-3378.
