Fall choir concert to feature Beach Boys on Dec. 1
The Penn State Behrend College Choir will present an evening of choral music on Thursday, Dec. 1.
The performance will be held at 8 p.m. in the McGarvey Commons of the Reed Union Building. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and will be available at the door, or in advance at the Reed Union Building main desk.
On the program are works by Randall Thompson, Ron Nelson, John Rutter, and Moses Hogan. Special guest Charles Kennedy Jr. will be the featured soloist for Hogan’s arrangement of “Wade in the Water.”
In addition, the Studio Singers, a select group of seven students who specialize in vocal jazz, will contribute a retro-themed selection of music made popular by the Beach Boys, Sonny and Cher, and Sergio Mendes.
