Behrend Opens Engineering Speaker Series on September 15 Behrend alumnus Brian Swahn will open this year’s School of Engineering and Engineering Technology Speaker Series at noon on Thursday, September 15 with a presentation titled “Technology Trends and Design Challenges for 45nm and Beyond.” His talk, which takes place in the Reed Union Building, Room 114, will address future challenges in integrated circuit development. Swahn is a 2001 Behrend graduate in electrical and computer engineering. He currently works for Analog Devices in Norwood, Massachusetts, and is pursuing a doctorate in electrical engineering and computer science at Tufts University. Other speakers in the SEET series throughout the year will address a variety of topics including the aerodynamics of sailing, new product innovation in the energy and medical fields, software design and quality, and the business skills necessary for engineers to succeed in the workplace.
