Coastal Connections Watershed Festival September 10 At Frontier Park

The Lake Erie Environmental Education Partnership will host the Coastal Connections Watershed Festival Saturday, September 10, in conjunction with the Lake Erie Arboretum’s LEAF Festival. Events take place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Frontier Park, West Eighth and Greengarden Streets.

Special activities planned for the day include a scavenger hunt to test your watershed knowledge, a rubber duck race, Great Lakes carnival, antique truck rides, and sidewalk art.

The Lake Erie Environmental Education Partnership includes Pennsylvania Sea Grant, Lake Erie Allegheny Earth Force, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie, Presque Isle State Park, Erie Outing Club, and Divers World.

PA Sea Grant and other partnership members will have live animals, crafts, painting, dry kayak demos, and more during the day. LEAF will sponsors lectures on gardening, fall planting, and composting as well.
