Black School of Business professor receives third Fulbright grant

Syed Saad Andaleeb, professor of marketing in the Sam and Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend, has received a third Fulbright grant to fund his teaching and research work in Bangladesh.

Andaleeb will spend three weeks lecturing at BRAC University in Dhaka as a Fulbright Senior Specialist. He will work with 25 staff and professionals affiliated with the university’s Institute of Education and Development to design research methodologies and develop research proposals that can be used to identify problems in and develop strategies for improvement of Bangladesh’s public education system.

The J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholar program is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of State. Andaleeb served as a Fulbright Senior Scholar at East West University in Bangladesh for the 2003-2004 school year, building research capacity among faculty members of both public and private universities and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses. During his second Fulbright, Andaleeb conducted social science research training sessions at BRAC University’s Institute of Education and Development.
