November Nursing Information Session Planned

The associate degree in nursing program at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will hold an admissions information session for prospective students on Monday, November 12.

The event begins at 6:00 p.m. in 101 Otto Behrend Science Building. It is free and open to both traditional and adult students.

Nursing faculty will be on hand to discuss the application process, prerequisite coursework, and scheduling options. After a short presentation on the two-year degree, participants will have an opportunity to informally meet with faculty, ask questions, and tour the program’s nursing technologies and patient simulation laboratories.

Penn State Behrend’s associate degree is fully accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission and the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing; graduates are eligible to take the national registered nurse licensing examination administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.

Registration is requested for the information session, and can be made by phoning the Penn State Behrend Office of Admissions at 814-898-6100.
