"I Dream of Microwaves" Author Giving Campus Reading
Fiction writer Imad Rahman will give a public reading from his works on Thursday, October 25, as part of the Creative Writer’s Speaker Series at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.
Rahman will read at 6:00 p.m. in the Larry and Kathryn Smith Chapel; a reception for him will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the chapel’s ground-floor meeting room. Both events are free and open to the public.
A native of Karachi, Pakistan, Rahman immigrated to the United States to attend college and currently is an assistant professor of English at Kansas State University. He is a former McCreight Fiction Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing whose first book, a collection of connected stories called "I Dream of Microwaves," was published in 2004 by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux.
