College Celebrates Penn State Days with Open House on October 20 Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, will host an Admissions Open House for prospective undergraduate students on Saturday, October 20. The annual fall open house is part of Penn State Days, a University-wide initiative to celebrate the educational opportunities available at Penn State for all interested students—from current high school students and recent high school graduates to returning adults. The Open House begins at 10 a.m. and continues through 1 p.m. Prospective students and their families are invited to tour Penn State Behrend and meet with representatives from the college’s four schools—Sam and Irene Black School of Business, School of Engineering, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and School of Science—as well as student support services. Faculty will be available to lead laboratory tours and demonstrations and answer questions about the college’s 32 baccalaureate majors. A half-hour information session on Penn State Behrend’s associate degree in nursing program, which began in Fall 2007, will begin at noon. Other information sessions will be presented on admissions, financial aid, adjusting to college, choosing a major, and the college’s honors program. Lunch is available on a cash basis in Bruno’s Café on the second floor of the Reed Union building, beginning at 11 a.m., or in Dobbins Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To register or for more information, visit behrend.psu.edu online, call 814-898-6100 (toll-free 866-374-3378), or e-mail behrend.admissions@psu.edu. All events are free of charge, but advance registration is appreciated. |
