Penn State Behrend Sports Featured on Image Sports Network
Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, has contracted with the Image Sports Network to televise eight home games this coming year. Five Penn State Behrend teams will be featured, including women's volleyball, basketball and softball and men's basketball and baseball. The volleyball and basketball games will be shown live. The softball and baseball contests will be filmed and then aired on a delayed broadcast.
"These broadcasts are a wonderful opportunity for Penn State Behrend, our athletics teams and the individual players to receive the recognition they have earned by making the events more accessible," said Brian Streeter, director of athletics. All broadcasts are sponsored by the college's athletic department, though Streeter would welcome additional sponsorship support.
The contests will feature play-by-play commentary and technical assistance, both of which are provided by Image Sports and Penn State Behrend Athletics.
Image Sports Television provides production services for more than 100 events a year including sporting events, political debates, corporate meetings, telethons and banquets. In the Erie area, they are on Time Warner Cable channel 20 and, in the county, on Time Warner Cable channel 12.
Broadcast Schedule
Tuesday, Sept. 18: Volleyball versus Grove City at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 5: Women's and Men's Basketball vs. Hilbert at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.
Monday, Jan. 21: Women's and Men's Basketball vs. University of Pittsburgh Bradford at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 20: Women's and Men's Basketball vs. Lake Erie College at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Tuesday, April 1: Baseball vs University of Pittsburgh Bradford at 1 p.m.
Saturday, April 12: Softball vs. University of Pittsburgh Bradford at 1 p.m.
Saturday, April 19: Baseball vs. LaRoche College at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, April 23: Softball vs. Hilbert College at 3 p.m.
