David has 15 years of federal experience with both the U.S. Navy and the National Park Service in Washington, D.C and the Chesapeake Bay.  Certified as a science and history teacher, David also has 7 years of elementary and secondary environmental science teaching experience at 5 different school districts.  David has a B.S. in Park and Recreation Management from the Pennsylvania State University and a M.A. in Teaching from the College of Notre Dame.

As of November 2007, David serves as part-time Maritime Education Specialist for Pennsylvania Sea Grant.  His duties include:

• Coordinating educational programs;
• Developing partnerships with various education constituents;
• Serve as liaison to the Bayfront Center for Maritime Studies (BCMS); and
• Collaborate with the Erie Maritime museum to develop joint science initiatives.
