Mission
Penn State Erie, The Behrend College is committed to supporting new students in their transition to college, academic success, and personal development through educational opportunities both inside and outside the classroom.
Goals and Objectives
The goal of Penn State Erie, The Behrend College New Student Orientation is to successfully matriculate new students into the intellectual, social and cultural climate of the campus community.
The objectives of New Student Orientation are:
- To assist students and families transition to Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.
- To inform students on the variety of support services available on campus.
- To inform students on the opportunities to get involved in co-curricular activities.
- To create opportunities for new students to interact with faculty and staff.
- To create opportunities for new students to interact and meet other students.
- To offer programs that introduce students to issues relating to academics.
- To offer programs that introduce students to issues relating to diversity and culture.
- To offer programs that introduce students to issues relating to personal growth and social development.
