UPCOMING COMMUNITY SERVICE EVENTS:

U-PICK DAY is a community service events day to benefit the United Way Campaign. It will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. and students may chose to one of three events to:

1. Working the "Gorge-ous!" Bike Race
2. Working the "Across the Campus" 5K race
3. Campus Rummage Sale in Erie Hall

Deihl Adopt-A-School Program-Details to be announced.

A successful college education is more than academic excellence. Community service is not something that Behrend students have to do, rather it is something that the majority of our students do choose to participate in; this choice makes our students even stronger leaders. During the course of the academic year students are asked to participate in a number of community service opportunities. Those communities students choose to work with benefit from this partnership, but so do the students engaged in the service. Service learning is integral in developing skills which will help to prepare you to become a responsible global citizen.
